Yearbook Update
Good morning Roadrunners and welcome to week 4!
We’re making some steady progress on the yearbook with regards to creating the ladder sections and starting work with the camera.
The first quarter of Yearbook is usually slow. We’re learning how the software works, layout, font choice, photo composition and management. This week we went over finalizing what sections we need for the yearbook and how to take good photos.
We actually have our first event today with the Green and Gold Scrimmage for volleyball and football. The first games of the season are still a few weeks out so I’m hoping to get the kids as much time with the cameras as possible to get familiar with settings, lighting, angles, etc.
No major events coming up aside from the scrimmage tonight. I’m so grateful to have more workers than I do cameras!
As schedules come out, I’ll be using signup genius to make sure we have at least two photographers at each event. Since this is a participation and production class, there isn’t always schoolwork in the traditional sense. With so many students (35!) it can be challenging to find work for everyone to do.
What’s going on with Mr. Dudek??
My two older children are going camping this weekend up in Flagstaff with some church friends so my wife and I will have a weekend with just the baby to relax and decompress a bit. Probably start another woodworking project because I hate being idle. 🙂
As ALWAYS, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns please feel free to reach out to me. Also, if you see errors in the grade book, please email me.
Have a great week Roadrunners,
~Mr. Dudek
