Good morning Roadrunners!

I hope everyone was able to enjoy some R&R over break and got back into the swing of things the first week back.

We dove right into content last week by looking at the factors leading up to World War I: Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, Nationalism, and Assassination (MANIA). We started this week off with a project were the students have to design their own propaganda posters, tuning their perspective to one of the participants of the war and identifying the objective and tools used for propaganda.

The rest of this week we’ll examine the civil war in Russian and the rise of the Bolsheviks as we transition to post-war global events.

What’s New with Dudek?
It was a pretty good break for the Dudek clan. The kids started getting stir crazy after a week but thankfully their grandparents came to visit from Christmas through the new year. Peter turned 8 and Myla will be turning 5 this month. We threw a party for them at Gilbert Regional Park this past weekend and just enjoyed the last week of regular season football.
