World History Update

In 7th Grade Social Studies, World History

Good morning and welcome to week 13!

It feels nice to be back into a normal routine, one without half-days, conferences, homecoming events, field trips, etc. Despite that, I still had to take a day off for a sick kiddo and doctors appointments.

This week we looked at the French Revolution, and how it was much more revolutionary than the American Revolution. Also a lot more global implications, changes within France, and the disparity between wealthy and poor. We also went on talking about post-revolution France as Napoleon Bonaparte took over as Counsel of France. We had a quiz on the first part of the revolution.

Next week we’ll wrap up our Age of Revolutions unit by studying the Latin American Revolutions. Additionally, we only have a couple of weeks left to get ready for the Cultural Fair. I’m reminding the students to work on their projects but some may need the reminder form home as well.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Not much new going on. JH Volleyball has wrapped up and there’s a couple weeks before club season starts. Football wraps up tonight. The kiddos have birthday parties this weekend. Peter has soccer games and Myla has dance. Meanwhile I have one tiny thing left to finish on my Nissan and she’ll be ready to roll.

Have a wonderful weekend Roadrunners!
Mr. Dudek
