World History Update

In 7th Grade Social Studies, World History

Welcome to week 12 Roadrunners!

It’s been a crazy few weeks back from break so I apologize for the delay in emails. With conferences, homecoming games, etc. it’s been a busy few weeks.

The last couple of weeks we studied the the American Revolution. During our studies, the big focus was on the global effect of it. Not many people know that the Germans helped the British or that the French assisted the colonies. This would have major impact on the revolutions to follow.

This week we started the French Revolution and the internal politics that lead to it. We’re going to have a quiz this week on it as it does directly inspire the Latin American Revolutions that follow.

Additionally, we only have a couple of weeks left to get ready for the Cultural Fair. I’m reminding the students to work on their projects but some may need the reminder form home as well.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Well, the Legendary Dad Bod competition is still going on. Votes can be cast here. I’m hoping to use the prize money to go to grad school for my masters degree. Peter finished up his volleyball season with winning the championship. He’s started soccer now and his team won their first game last weekend. Myla is trying out different gymnastics and dance classes. I think she’s doing a hip-hop class now. The baby is home sick with pink eye at the moment but other than that she’s all over the place and becoming quite the daddy’s girl.
