World History Update

In 7th Grade Social Studies, World History

Welcome to week 3 Roadrunners!

Last week we took some time to go deeper into some of the belief systems we talking about in week one. We covered Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam this past week, going deeper into their impact on history and regions. We finished the week with creating a slideshow presentation to compare and contrast some of these religions to demonstrate that the students can identify similarities and differences between them.

This week will see some similar coursework going into deeper understanding of eastern systems of Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, and Shintoism (a lot of -isms, I know) with a small, hands-on activity at the end of the week.

As always, please reach out if you have any questions.

What’s New with Mr. Dudek?
I forgot to do this with my first email, but those who may have had me before know I like to share what’s going on in my life. This weekend I took my daughter out on a daddy/daughter date for treats and some 1-on-1 time. My dad was in town from Illinois so we went out to dinner at Barrio Queen over in Tempe and took the kids to Riverside Park for some fun.

Have a wonderful week!
Mr. Dudek
