World History/Social Studies Update

In 7th Grade Social Studies, World History

Good morning Roadrunners and welcome to week 6!

Last week we wrapped up with the Silk Road Trade route, talking about the goods and ideas that spread during this time as well as the social, political, and cultural aspects of these exchanges. We explored some of the inventions of the time as well as technological developments that spurred innovation and change.

This week we’re looking at the other major exchange networks of the early millennium: The Sea Exchange and Trans-Saharan Exchange. Since we’re wrapping up a major unit, there will be a quiz coming up on the materials covered in class.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
It was a pretty relaxing weekend. Tried a new restaurant (Mr. Mesquite) with the wifey. The baby is teething hardcore, my other daughter is getting excited for gymnastics and my son is wrapping up volleyball in a couple of weeks. JH volleyball has started and I’m excite to work with a young, new group of athletes 🙂

Have a wonderful week Roadrunners!
Mr. Dudek
