World History Update
Fabulous Week Four!
I was really excited to finish our first unit of world history; we covered the prehistoric, paleolithic hunter/gathering nomads from 4.5 million years ago all the way to the ancient Egyptians, Assyrians, and Sumerian cultures of the Nile River Valley and Mesopotamia. Next week we move into the emerigance and fall of classical civilizations of India, China, Persia, Greece and Rome.
Here is a snapshot the upcoming week:
*Daily bellwork (linked and listed in Classroom)
*CK12 2.1 – Major Belief Systems and 2.2 Classical India
*Thursday and Friday is MAP testing periods 1-4, so depending on when you have World History it may or may not affect us too much.
The students seemed to really enjoy ancient Egypt and I look forward to our study of other civilizations.
Grades up through last week are up to date so if you see a missing assignment for your child I encourage you to check the comments, as I make comments on every assignment.
I’m going to be in Wisconsin for a wedding this weekend, taking off Friday morning and returning Monday afternoon. Should you need to get a hold of me I’ll have email available to answer any questions you may have, though my time to respond might be a little longer than normal.
I hope you have a terrific weekend,
Mr. Dudek
