World History Update

Welcome to week 21 Roadrunners!

I hope everyone got to enjoy some rest over break. We have a lighter week this week with three half-days Wednesday through Friday.

This week we’re covering a small overlap in historical events. Right before break we studied the Crusades. While this was happening in Europe and parts of the Middle East, Genghis Kahn was taking over the rest of the eastern world.

We’ll be looking at the positive and negative effects of his conquering as well as the overall impact he made on history.

What’s going on with Mr. Dudek?
My break was a good one. My in-laws flew in from Wisconsin on Christmas Eve and stayed through the 4th of January. I cleaned the garage, epoxy-coated the floor, built some hanging storage shelves for the garage, installed shelving and lighting in a closet, and built a fire pit. So overall productive if not a busy break.
