Sports Broadcasting Update – Post Spring Break

Good afternoon and welcome to week 30!

It has been a rollercoaster of a week for San Tan Athletics! Thank you to everyone who helped out with the broadcast over break. We set a record for number of viewers and subscribers after an event.

Now we roll into Spring Sports and we have a lot of work to do. We have the following sports that we have have the opportunity to do game coverage for: HS Varsity Boys Volleyball, HS Beach Volleyball, HS Baseball, JH girls basketball, JH Co-ed soccer.

Baseball/volleyball is going to be tricky to figure out because they overlap on Tuesdays, so we’ll do some brainstorming. Tomorrow I’ll have a Signup Genius put together for the events this week as well as some story ideas for writing. Basketball is going to the semi-finals for the first time in school AIA history, boys volleyball started 4A play and baseball has their first season as well, so there’s lots of opportunities to earn points. And for further incentive, what you write could be used in the yearbook for articles about the teams!

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Well I didn’t really have a spring break: boys volleyball was in the mornings, girls in the evenings, worked the basketball game on Friday and had a tournament on Saturday.
