Sports Broadcasting Update

Welcome to week 25!

We’ve got a very light week this week in terms of sports coverage. Only two home games we’re livestreaming and I’ve had students sign up to cover the games this week so we’re looking good there.

This is the last week of the JH winter sports season so we’ll see some changing game coverage up soon. I’m still working with the coaches to get access to the Hudl account so we can start doing stat-taking for the teams as well.

The expectation going forward is that the students in class will rotate who is working each week. There are enough in class that if we had two people at each game then they’d only have to work one game every other week. It isn’t fair to have the same 3-4 students do all of the streaming.

This week we’ll review the “game coverage story” and write articles for this week.

So, between the livestreaming, story writing, and statistics we should have plenty to do in class.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
It was my birthday on Thursday (the 28th). I don’t usually make a big deal of it, don’t really know why, but there was a tremendously overwhelming amount of love shown to me from the San Tan community that makes me feel truly blessed to be among the staff here.
