AP World History Update
Happy Week 18 everyone!
I cannot believe we are only three weeks away from winter break; time sure is flying by!
Here is a snapshot of the upcoming week:
*Daily bellwork (linked and listed in Classroom)
*Chapter 17
*SAQ & AP Exam skill building
This week and next we’ll be tackling Chapter 17 which will mark the end of Unit 5. We’ve begun to look over various examples of AP Test questions and responses to get a feel for what makes well and poorly composed answers. We also started looking at the daily videos that AP classroom has been putting out as a way to stimulate discussion in class too. Students can expect some more review or practice with short answer and long answer questions leading up to our midterm exam.
The plan for the midterm is a selection of excerpts from the multiple choice questions from AP Classroom.
As a reminder, the last day to submit missing/late work is the 11th of December. Anything received after 4pm that day will not be graded.
What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
I had a pretty good Thanksgiving Break. I cooked the turkey via slow-cooker and flavor injection of a herb/spice blend that turned out amazing. We also had a family friend volunteer to take the kids Saturday morning through Sunday evening so I was able to take the wife and baby out for a date night/brunch date. Also got projects done around the house, namely replacing an old ceiling fan with a new one and trimming up my palm trees.
I hope you have a terrific week and a great break!
