AP World History Update
Welcome to week 35!
We’re inching ever closer to the AP exam date on 5/20, just over a month away.
The students have been working dilligently these last few weeks on completing practice short essay questions (SEQs) related to the first few units of our studies with the exception of a Document Based Question that is worth the most points out of any on the AP exam. While not every student is taking the AP exam, I still have these assignments as the skills required for them will better prepare them for college-level writing and critical thinking.
This next week we’ll be moving on to Unit 5 covering things like the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment era right before the age of revolutions. Since the multiple choice tests indicated we need a little more work in these areas, we’ll probably do another DBQ related to the material since it goes more in-depth with the subject matter.
What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
I’m actually typing this as I get ready to drive out to Las Vegas for a volleyball tournament. We’ve only got two weeks left in the girls season and the boys high school season ends the week or two after depending on playoffs. With the yearbook due within the next week and a half, I’ve got my hands full!
Have a wonderful week Roadrunners!
