AP World History Update

Welcome to week 23!

This week we moved from chapter 18 to 19, we cover the collision of cultures and ideas between Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia. Next week we’ll be finishing up chapter 19 and with that finishing our 6th unit. We’ll do some multiple choice review on the unit as well as a practice Long Essay Question (LEQ).

This week we explored the LEQ, breaking down the rubric and scoring of the exam. We also looked at prompts and submissions from last years AP exam, seeing what a six-point (perfect) essay looks like and encompasses as well as a two-point (not-perfect) essay to see where they missed the mark.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
It’ll be a busy weekend ahead as I have a volleyball tournament that I’m coaching Saturday through Monday. It’s also my daughter’s 4th birthday on Wednesday so I’m sure we’ll be doing some celebrating.
