AP World History Update
Good morning Roadrunners!
I hope everyone was able to enjoy some R&R over break and got back into the swing of things the first week back.
We dove right into content last week by looking at the transition from the Industrial Revolution to European imperialism in the nineteenth century. European imperialism goes in “waves” throughout world history from 1450 C.E. to the present.
I put a lot of work in over break to find the best ways to improve the class and I’ve come up with some new procedures to streamline the content. Every week I’ll post the readings for the week and what day they should be read. The next day, bellwork and daily questions will be based on the reading from the previous night. We’ll then watch the daily AP video for the topic that will be covered in the the reading for later that night. If we come across an topic that would be good for a free response in the form of a DBQ or Short essay we’ll take a couple days on that.
What’s New with Dudek?
It was a pretty good break for the Dudek clan. The kids started getting stir crazy after a week but thankfully their grandparents came to visit from Christmas through the new year. Peter turned 8 over break and Myla will be turning 5 later this month (I’ll be having a birthday too, but I don’t particularly like celebrating my birthday so the date shall be undisclosed). We threw a party for the kids at Gilbert Regional Park this past weekend with friends and just enjoyed the last week of regular season football.
Have a great week Roadrunners!
Mr. Dudek
