AP World History Update

 In AP World History

Good morning Roadrunners as we move into week 13!

Its really nice getting back into a regular routine with no half-days, homecoming festivities, etc. I did have to take the day off to take the wifey to a doctor appointment and take care of my baby who had pink eye and and an ear infection.

This past week we’ve been starting the second half of the unit, working on chapter 6 and examining European involvement in already existing trade networks as well as development of Afro-Eurasian empires.

Next week we should finish up chapter 6, which includes the features and effects of the slave trade between Old and New World. Additionally, we’ll explore the role of stock companies in European trade and the role that Asian states played in trade. MCQ, Essay, and DBQ are possible AP practice to cover now that we’re all back in class and on a semi-normal schedule. Well, as normal as can be with PAST testing and GCU trips going on 🙂

Additionally, we only have a couple of weeks left to get ready for the Cultural Fair. I’m reminding the students to work on their projects but some may need the reminder form home as well.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Nothing new going on really. The kiddos have birthday parties to attend. Peter has a soccer game. Myla has dance. I have a couple of weeks off before club volleyball starts and its the last football game of the season tonight. I only have one thing left to fix on my Nissan and it should be ready to roll.

Have a great weekend!
Mr. Dudek
