AP World History Update
Good morning Roadrunners and welcome to week 12!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted/emailed, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks with homecoming events, half-days, return from break, students gone for the Tonto Camp, etc.
The last couple of weeks we focused on European maritime empires and Columbian Exchange, specifically European colonies in the Americans before venturing this week into their colonies in Africa and Asia. Other topics include transatlantic slave trade, sliver trade, and the importance of Spain, Portugal, and Asian states role in trade.
MCQ, Essay, and DBQ are possible AP practice to cover now that we’re all back in class and on a semi-normal schedule. Well, as normal as can be with PAST testing and GCU trips going on 🙂
Additionally, we only have a couple of weeks left to get ready for the Cultural Fair. I’m reminding the students to work on their projects but some may need the reminder form home as well.
What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Well, the Legendary Dad Bod competition is still going on. Votes can be cast here. I’m hoping to use the prize money to go to grad school for my masters degree. Peter finished up his volleyball season with winning the championship. He’s started soccer now and his team won their first game last weekend. Myla is trying out different gymnastics and dance classes. I think she’s doing a hip-hop class now. The baby is home sick with pink eye at the moment but other than that she’s all over the place and becoming quite the daddy’s girl.
