Sports Broadcasting Update

Wrapping up week 33 and onto week 34

This is probably one of our lightest weeks in terms of home sports coverage that we’ve had in a long while. Home matches this week include Varsity Girls Beach Volleyball on Monday at 4 and Varsity Baseball at 3:45 on Friday.

I’ve been told by former students of the class that this is the most impressive year we’ve had for broadcasting. Previously, they’d only ever done it for boys basketball. So we’ve expanded our coverage from just one team during one season up to 11 teams over all three seasons! With the second half of the spring season upon us, coverage will start to die down with more away games so the focus will be more on the pre-recorded or written aspects of broadcasting.

Additionally, students looking to make up some points can write up season recap articles for each of the previous seasons and teams who’ve competed.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Still just as busy as ever: The boys team had three matches last week and the girls had a tournament this past weekend (1st place, woo!). This week the boys have only two matches but I’ll be coaching a weekend tournament in Vegas this upcoming weekend.
