Sports Broadcasting Update
Welcome to Week 32!
We’ve got a shorter week ahead of us with a 4-day weekend but that doesn’t mean there isn’t work to do!
It’s a busy week with sports happening every day this week, most of which are away games. There are a few though at home with opportunities to get easy credit:
Tuesday (3/30): Girls Beach Volleyball @4pm – I want to try a split-screen set up with two cameras on our three courts. No need for scorekeeping, just help with setup and teardown.
Thursday (4/1): JH Co-ed Soccer @4pm, JH Girls Basketball @4pm & Varsity Baseball @4pm. Varsity get’s first priority for the stream and I’m taking a camera to record for volleyball. So if we can get the two stream setup going we’ll probably cover basketball and baseball.
We also went over in class on Monday which coaches and players would make good interviews for game recap or profile stories. Additionally, students have the option of creating social media posts to promote our sports teams as well.
What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
Girls club volleyball is still in full swing, we have three weekend tournaments in a row in April (including one in Vegas) so that’ll keep my weekends busy. Boys volleyball got our first win and we’re really building momentum. On the homefront, my daughter is almost ready to start walking and my son broke a toilet, so I did some plumbing this weekend too.
Have a wonderful week Roadrunners!
