AP World History Update
Welcome to week 25!
This past week we completed Unit 6 and powered right on to unit 7. The opening of Chapter 19 helps connect
the Industrial Revolution and nineteenth-century imperialism to non-European empires. This will help give
context to students as they begin to study the reactions of the Ottomans, Qing dynasty, and Japan to increasing European power and influence in this era.
Additionally, we ended last week with a practice Long Essay Question based on the unit that I’ll be looking at over the weekend. Chapter 20 sets the stage for the first great war of the 20th century, examining the Russian revolutions, the growth of capitalism, and Imperialism/Authoritarianism leading to the conflicts we see in the 1900’s
What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
It was my birthday on Thursday. I don’t usually make a big deal of it, don’t really know why, but there was a tremendously overwhelming amount of love shown to me from the San Tan community that makes me feel truly blessed to be among the staff here.
Have a terrific week Roadrunners!
