World History Update
On to Week 22!
We had an interesting week this week with regard to the events at The Capitol on Wednesday. With the half days, we used class to discuss the event and explore the various angles and significance of what occurred. We talked about the effects of social media, shifting political views, other countries throughout history who have seen events similar, etc. It was a really great discussion and sharing of ideas and viewpoints.
Next week we study a region that typically get overlooked when it comes to world history but would have a profound impact: Japan. We’ll also explore how during the 14th century, events were taking place in Europe that would forever change its landscape, encourage a questioning of Church authority, and help bring about the end of the 1,000 year medieval period.
What’s going on with Mr. Dudek?
Not much this week. Getting ready for next weekend when I have club volleyball tournament and my daughter’s 4th birthday. The baby just turned 10 months old today. Not walking yet, but pulling up on everything she can get her hands on. 🙂
I hope you have a terrific week!
