Sports Broadcasting Update
Welcome to week 21!
I hope everyone had a restful winter break. This is a more relaxed week as we don’t really have any sporting events to do video for and we also have three half-days starting Wednesday.
This week we’re taking a break from filming. I’ve gotten the feeling that interviewing each other is getting repetitive and boring, so we’re doing a small research assignment this week. The students have to research three different careers in the broadcasting/film industry, looking at things like salary, outlook, duties/responsibilities, education requirements, etc. They’ll also have to identify which of the three they’d like the most and why. I’ve told them that I’ll call on a few of them to share on Thursday for our half day.
What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
My break was a good one. My in-laws flew in from Wisconsin on Christmas Eve and stayed through the 4th of January. I cleaned the garage, epoxy-coated the floor, built some hanging storage shelves for the garage, installed shelving and lighting in a closet, and built a fire pit. So overall productive, if not a busy, break.
Have a terrific week!
Mr. Dudek
