World History Update
Happy Friday the 13th!
I’ll admit, it was weird getting back into the swing of things after the craziness that was Cultural Fair, but it felt nice to get back into our normal routine. We finished up our study of the spread of Islam and the Islamic empires, culminating with a quiz that showed a large gap in terms of knowledge. Students definitely need to be taking stronger notes during class.
Here is a snapshot of next week:
*Daily bellwork (linked and listed in Classroom)
*CK12 3.7 & 3.8 – Kingdoms of Africa and Chinese Renaissance
We studied this week how Islam spread along the northern coast of Africa towards Spain, so next week we’re going to study African migrations and more detail into how these nations developed and incorporated Islam. We also study the Chinese Renaissance, the development of a reunified China after the Han Dynasty.
What’s going on with Mr. Dudek?
Nothing new. Really. It’s nice being able to go home at a reasonable hour since volleyball is over.
I hope you have a terrific week,
Mr. Dudek
