APWH Update

We’ve made it through our first four weeks!!

This week in class we tackled the rise of Islam and the first Islamic civilizations. We’ve explored how Islam spread through Afro-Eurasia as well as practicing our comparison skills examining the impact of the spread of Islam on India, Anatolia, West Africa, and Spain.

Here is a snapshot of this upcoming week:
*Daily bellwork (linked and listed in Classroom)
*Chapter 10 – The Worlds of Christendom
*Quizlet on Chapter 9
*Wednesday early release (no class)
*Thurs-Fri – MAP testing periods 1-4 (we will have class)

We’ve covered the major Eastern religions, moved westward and took a look at Islam, this week we move even further west and continue our studies of belief systems by taking a look at Christianity.

I’ll be out of town this weekend for a wedding in Wisconsin, leaving Friday morning and returning Monday afternoon. If you need to reach out to me I will have email, though I might not respond as quickly as I normally do.
