Yearbook Update
Good evening Roadrunners!
It feels as if this week just flew by and, I don’t know about you but, I’m spent. I hope everyone takes this opportunity to get some rest and do something exciting. Remember, yearbook is all about capturing the year so make sure you’re taking photos as often as you can to use for the yearbook
This week we practiced our writing for the yearbook (something that there wasn’t much of in last year book. We covered Headlines, caption, and AP Style
Here is a snapshot of this upcoming week:
*Daily bellwork (linked and listed in Classroom)
*Interviewing & Closed Vs. Open questions
*Alternating Copy (The different ways we write for the yearbook)
You guys knocked it out of the park this week! In just a short couple of weeks we’ve laid the foundations and we’re building the framework and skillset to complete the house that is yearbook 🙂
As we draw closer to our Hybrid learning model we will see sports and class activities starting back up. I don’t yet know what exactly this looks like for us, but we’ll continue to develop our skills to practice for a return behind the lens.
Lastly, I mentioned earlier this week I’ll be modifying Google Classroom to accommodate having both JH and HS students in class. It’ll make updating gradebook much easier but it does require some tinkering. You will see a new invite to Classroom so check it over the weekend, and if you see some fluctuations don’t worry about it too much, chances are I’ve caught the problem and corrected it. If you seen anything I missed by Sunday afternoon then shoot over an email.
I hope you have a terrific week,
Mr. Dudek
