Rolling into week 35!

Now that testing is officially over we can finally dive back into our content! This past week we’ve studied the worldwide effects of the Great Depression as well as the economic and political turmoil between 1917 and 1936. We’ve covered the depression, dust bowl, and how post-WWI lead to the rise in totalitarianism and rulers such as Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin came into power.

The general classroom attitude has improved as well, I think the more “modern” our history gets the more interest the students seem to have in it. Next week we dive into more details on WWII and The Holocaust. This can be a sensitive topic, so if you have any concerns please don’t be afraid to reach out!

The week ahead:
Monday: Review Questions
Weekly Bellwork
WWII
Holocaust

What’s going on with Mr. Dudek?
I’m actually typing this from my hotel room in Las Vegas! I’m coaching our 16s club team for the weekend and will be taking a half day on Monday so depending which class you have me there may be a sub.

I hope you have a terrific week!
