AP World History Update

 In AP World History

Good afternoon and happy finals week Roadrunners!

With the AP exam in the rearview mirror, we took some time to decompress after the crazy couple of weeks that is MAP, AIMS, and AP testing before getting ready for our final in the class. Instead of doing a conventional final, since a majority of the students took the AP test, I thought it’d be fun to do a Model UN Simulation.

Students were given countries to choose from to create a resolution to present to the other nations with the goal of finding common ground on a topic related to globalization. It’s fun seeing the students get into their roles and researching their countries, especially those who picked specific countries to be devil’s advocates on the subject 😀

We’re going to present and debate the points tomorrow in a mock UN setting with me acting as the moderator. This should be a nice way to end the year.

What’s new with Mr. Dudek?
I’ve been trying to rest as much as possible with baby #4 arriving in just over one months time. With volleyball and yearbook wrapped up, I’ve been able to make some time for myself, but between birthday parties and illnesses I’m still very busy on the weekends. Looking forward to a couple of weeks of breathing room before the little one keeps me and the wifey up at night.

Have a wonderful week Roadrunners!
Mr. Dudek
